Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra md,
Dros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad.
Tra mr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau,
O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.

I hadn't heard of that. Magnificent story.

My respects to a brave crew.

I think it refers to the number of decorations earned by the crew, 2 MOH and 7 DSC.

Just an FYI, the Jay Zeamer story (with voice interview, IIRC) is on a Dogfights episode. For DVD it's on Season 1, Disk 4, titled "Long Odds".

Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph
Could be the human race is run

I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

A band of good for nothings, that proved the naysayers wrong.

It's odd that with other - 'better'- crews they appeared to be substandard crew members, yet as a group they proved to be second to none.

Hats off to their resilience.
