That's not a curve, it's just a really wide hill. Be realistic, it's not PERFECTLY flat, that would be impossible. rolleyes neaner

I think you might be onto something. A hill so large it encompasses the entire earth, with slopes so wide they go all the way around to meet up with themselves on the other side... some may call this phenomenon 'round'...

I agree it's flat but why can't we see beyond the limits of what we actually see ?

Airflow due to the hills at the edge of the world distorts the atmosphere. If only we could lower someone in a basket from the rim he'd have unlimited vision.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

I've been at the Flat Earth Society site before but no longer that it was necessary to contemplate that they exist.
One thing I'm thinking is how they explain international flights or shiping across the pacific?

In eastern NC along Hwy 158 after you get East of the Great Dismal Swamp (South of Norfolk) there are old cotton fields where you can literally see the curvature of the earth they are so big. There are no trees you can see on the other side. I would have lost all hope if I had to pick all that cotton back in the day.

Going North from Elizabeth City, NC to Virginia Beach there was a sweet little sign that said how many people had been killed along that stretch of road when it was two lanes. Not sure if they finished expanding it or not but it always was an inspiration. Dumb@$$es would pass in the freaking fog on that road.

The road less traveled is filled with fewer needy people.
