When I first saw the headline I thought "I know a wee story about pain." After reading this thread I'm not even going to say what it was. It pales in comparison!!

Nothing compared to my kidney stone. I swear to God that if there would have been a loaded gun lying next to me during the half hour or so that I was writhing on the ground from that tiny pebble, I would have seriously considered blowing my brains out.

I can personally prove this, my poor wife who happens to be a kidney stone generator like no other and has
said to me that our first born was nothing compared to the 8 stones she has had blasted in the past 20 years.
She was 33 when she gave birth to our first born son and said that was the easiest passing she ever had. Having
had 3 stones before and first was netted, leaving her with bladder issues for life. Our son will be graduating
high school this year. Hoping the stones stay away.

Agreed. After my first kid was born, I told my wife that if she got out of line I'd do it to her again. A few years later, we had #2. LOL

+1 On the Kidney Stone...

One simply can't put into words what it is like to have one of those damn things. I have never felt pain like that and in the words of a friend of mine "I've been shot in the leg and in the gut, and I would volunteer take another two shots to different parts of the body before I would ever want to pass another kidney stone again".

When mine hit, I literally had to crawl to get into the vehicle to head to the ER. I had no clue what it was and after an MRI at the ER, it was confirmed. I took no pain meds and toughed it out. As I was laying on the gurney, the pain just stopped like a light switch. Doc came in with a bottle of pain meds and said you will need these. I stated the pain had stopped, and he smiled and said, "you're only have way there buddy". "The stone is now in your bladder and it's gonna be making the rest of the way out, the only way it can...."

Let's just say that later that night, even with enough pain meds to stun a rhino, I felt that SOB leave the factory...
