The first problem may related with you video card/drivers? What model is?
I use a MS FFB2 as my main, and a
Saitek Cyborg Evo as a throttle. But so far CoD just ignores the
Saitek when I try to assign keys to it.
You just unplug MS FF2 and test if EVO work?
Test only in GUI and dont hit APPLy so you dont loose assignements for MS FF2 - just in case, before make copy of ConfUser.ini in ...Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD
Ir are OK what commonly happen in such case are:
CloD GUI is very sensible to joystick movement, so when you select throttle an in the box for move joystick the axis of Evo is not registered because the GUI have registered some minor spike in one MS FF2 axis.
What you can do is try, and try... until Evo movements are registed first.
Another way is edit ConfUser.ini under section [HotKey pilotMove], you see something (assuming that your MS FF2 be seem first by Windows - check in Control Panel > Printer and Devices> Game Controllers) like:
Joystick+AXE_Z=-1throttleChange for
Joystick1+AXE_Z=-1throttle > this means that axis Z in second joystick (they are numbered 0, 1, 2...) now control throttle.
And test, this -1 means that in example axis work invert, if not need remove.
The easy way to know correctly name for EVO throttle axis (or if are really Z) is unplug MS FF2, and set only EVO and take note of name for axis throttle. Take note in the above suggested test.
