Yea if you pick it up you will get in still. Up until it starts / announced I think. Supposed to be October, November at the worst case scenario

I don't care if it slips to Winter as long as the game is playable and we can actually put real imput on the game.

An early release which is a mess doesn't help anyone.

BTW, winter doesn't officially start until Dec 21st so they have some time to work with.

October was the intended release for the early beta, Jason said during the last live feed they are 'on schedule'.

I would look at the last week of October.

I always figured on getting it before Christmas, so if it slips slightly it's no big deal for me.

Of course that also means that if it slips into 2014 I'll be pissed.

Personally I would prefer to see a beta release that impresses on the first flight and then only needs minor tweaking to make a classic, than a rushed mess that leaves you wondering about your investment...

RoF was a mess at full release and they cleaned it up into something great. I have no doubt that this BoS will be the same. Pretty much all games are a mess on release these days.

I think ROF's history was more troubled than BoS, though. Rivaled CloD's, but they were able to turn it around. That IMO speaks volumes. You need talent, resources, and luck to make great products. Not everyone can be lucky, and not everyone can get the resources they need when they need it, but the talent that perseveres can shine through. 777 has the talent. 1C? Maybe, maybe not.

So while I'm optimistic that BoS will eventually deliver where CloD failed, the accelerated schedule does give me pause. It seems like just yesterday that the final CloD patch came out, BoM was scrapped, and BoS was announced. To be this close already seems like I hibernated for a long period!

Remember BOS is still 6 months from release and this is a beta early access, though by all accounts so far its stable and running very well.

The Beta early access starts sometime around the end of October(also the deadline for access), that has always been the time frame, and the last time i asked Jason, he said they are on schedule.

If you want in, i wouldn't delay more than a week from now, in fact i would get it as soon as you can to be safe.

When is the pre order closed. I will pre order if it is still available next week, pay day
