Metallica Through the Never is a groundbreaking music-driven 3-D motion picture event. The film combines a spectacular never-before-seen live-performance by Metallica created exclusively for the film and a suspenseful narrative to produce a bracing, raw and visceral cinematic experience.

Sweet rig Richardg!

This movie is going to kick my a$$ to the moon and back! Been a while since we've had epic cinematic, music experiences like The Wall by Pink Floyd and The Song Remains the Same by Led Zeppelin.

Ironically, their song "Through the Never" is not in this movie!

With that said, here are the boys jamming Through the Never 21 years ago in San Diego during the Binge and Purge Tour

(Check out the nun at 4:00 helping with the guitar!)

The DVDs from the Binge and Purge era are the greatest metal concerts ever recorded. Man that Seattle show from 89 just kicks total ass. I get so pumped up watching that.

So what did you think Chaz ? I have seen them 5 times now which is a bit hard being in Oz, but if they are here then i am front row centre biggrin The movie was as good as any of their concerts i have been too and i would have loved to have been able to be standing up with a nice cold rum in a crowd watching it instead of sitting down with a coke band Wasn't too fussed with Trips adventure or the bag, i knew we were not going to find out what was in it as soon as he saw it lol.

Much enjoyed it simply for the visuals and tunes smile.. they just remain so tight when they play live.

Speaking of tight, have you watched the Nimes concert? if not you're in for a treat.

I knew they were back on track when they released Death Magnetic and then this. Such a shame about the levels on Death Magnetic, I hate the 'loud war' frown

Did you get Beyond Magnetic as well ? Has four pretty good tunes on it although not studio quality, but well worth it.

I never was a real fan, but I always admired their musicality. No one should doubt that they are the real deal when it comes to musicianship. Fave song . . . still "One."
