As long as Bruce Willis is alive in 2032 we'll be ok.

Being 77 years old at that time he might not be up to the task.

If you notice the gif carefully the moon is actually the great attractor here, everytime it looks this chunky ball of dirty ice attempts to leave earth's orbit the moon pulls it back, I had no idea the moon had such a strong gravitational pull or that it was able to elongate earths gravitation footprint. Anyway this things is going to hit us next time around after a few more loops from the looks of it in 2032.

Our Moon is so huge, it almost qualifies us as a dual planetary system (OK, the common gravitational center is still within the earth's crust, but still). There are bigger moons in this solar system, and there are bigger planets. But no moon is as big in relation to the planet its orbiting as is ours. Make no mistake: 1 sixth of our surface gravity is still enormous. Just think of the trillions of tons of sea water that are shifted every day - twice.

Still tiny in relation to the rest of this solar system, of course.

After searching the net, this thing isn't an asteroid, it's one of the upper stages of an Apollo mission, most probably Apollo 12. Interesting read.
