I'm surprised people are dissatisfied with the current state of Arma 3 if you compare it to OFP, ARMA1 and 2 at release. Sure there is no campaign straight away but everything else is just so much of a step forward from Arma2/OA. 1. Infantry movement - actually makes Infantry PVP a viable option now 2. Weapon attachments 3. Map scale and detail 4. Vehicle movement 5. AI improvement
Sure, there might be less weapons and vehicles but they will come in time as anyone who's been playing these games knows that BIS really do support their work well post-release.

The original OFP demo then campaign hooked me to the series and i bought all games since. I skipped the cz addon for arma2 which was reported to have no campaign. There are great community missions/campaigns by community but storytelling won't match a BIS produced one. Sadly since OFP scripting has been an issue in BIS campaigns, let's hope this one will end the failed scripts story !

IMHO BI should not release ArmA 3 for full price now! PPL will be complaining and BIs reputation as a developer will take a hit. I just tried the showcase mission for the tanks and the first thing happend when i ordered my driver to keep formation is that he rams into the commanders tank and flips it spinning a few meters in the air like a styrofoam toy! Since i played the devbranch version i knew this could happen but imagine a guy who has just forked out 40 to 50 bucks! TBH i would get angry!
P.S. Was the pathfinding of the tanks always this bad????

They have no choice but to put it out now. With BF4 and the next CoD arriving in a month or two all the kiddies will be playin that so they need it on the shelf now before all the thunder goes with those games.
