I'm in. I have no big expectations for graphics and campaign, but would love to see a full gunnery controll, fog of war options, maybe night combat and a deep gunnery training. WW1, WW2 or interwar period.
Japan, Germany, Italy vs US, UK
Austro-Hungary VS Italy, France
And a 30-40 Us dollar price
Opinions?

Sounds good, I enjoyed Destroyer command and it would be great to see something similar but more up to date.
I'd love to be able to walk around my ship like Silent hunter and man positions.
That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead? Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick. Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake. No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.

I'm pretty sure that Task Force 1942 levels of detail with regards stations/systems would be great.Making it too complicated is going to make it too niche for some. I know some would like to play every station but if you have to be realistic about getting it done then maybe that's the way.And as for walking round a Battleship, that's going to take some time I'm sure I won't be alone in saying please give us a modern version of TF1942.

Hi, have you also tried posting here - Subsim There's a lot of potential customers there too. All the best!

Since you asked,
I would like to see: WWII. Realism Historically based dynamic campaign Editor Quick mission builder Crew management Attention paid to actual ship handling...how can you have a Naval sim without simulating what it means to command a ship at sea? realistic ranges realistic range of duties: AA screen for fast carriers, shore bombardment, surface task force, etc. distinctly nautical traditions such as crossing the line ceremony realistic camouflage schemes some kind of system to get upgrades during refits a system to train and improve your different types of gunnery, and other divisions such as engineering. similar to the silent hunter series, but more fleshed out, have officer characters that grow and develop and have effects on their divisions. good graphics, with primarily first person pov but with the option to see your ship and fleet in all its 3rd person glory
"I have only two men out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." 1stLt. Clifton B. Cates, USMC in Belleau Wood, 19 July 1918

Cont... Realistic sea states Realistic watch system for the crew Realistic navigation Attention paid to Naval customs, courtesies, and traditions Realistically applied system of awards. Realistic damage models activities such as underway replenishment, ammo resupply, launching and recovering float planes, etc. Real time gameplay. and I would like to see an interactive captain's sea cabin where we can fast forward time by sleeping, save the game, manage crew details, keep a captain's log, and customize to some extent.
Thanks for asking! I hope your endeavor is a success
EDIT: I almost forgot, accurately modeled ship classes!

Ok i have got some stuff to show you.. Box art, and a shot of a ship in a programme to make a promo vid..which is very WIP still working the ins and outs of the programme and the ship is not the one i will be using.. But it gives you a idea on what i am trying to do. So you can see "Capital Ships" is the name What ya reckon ? O_Smiladon

I'm with Chucky. The SH5ish warship touring is not make much benefit compared to the work that needs to build it up. Sorry for the sentence structure. :-)

Trust you guys to think about something logically, I guess a Battleship would be a fair old trek wouldn't it as they're a bit bigger than a sub! A boy can dream though can't he?

I would want to see this done in the Pacific, not the Atlantic. Night actions off the coast of Guadalcanal, pounding beach heads as Marines roll ashore on one of the, seemingly endless, little island. Chasing the Japanese during The Battle of Leyte Gulf. Coming up against The Yamato.

I would want to do the Pacific as well..my neck of the woods. But the lure of the Atlantic is special to me..my granddad served on the HMNZS Achilles and was there at river plate. So that part of the war has a little personal touch.. To get the Achilles in game flying the NZ ensign would be a great thrill for me and you can bet if it happens she will sail again. But just for you Pooch The Might Mo!! She will be there for the pacific build of Capital Ships But this is all pie in the sky stuff at the moment.. But I am working hard to make it a reality Cheers O_Smiladon

Wow she´s sexy! Good luck on your project. A WW2 battleship Sim would be very welcome here as well. You will have my support for sure. Cheers
