I need to know what the game I'm gonna be investing will be like! The video did none of that. Should have tried to tell me why I should back this one over say, IL-2 BOS. Plus, to be honest 100k doesn't seem like an especially large ammount. Not sure what to feel about it.

While I agree with the starting pitch, I'm sure they'll follow with more info, or else even the 100k will be hard to reach.

It's a no from me. I have higher confidence that the folks at 777 can deliver the product that I am looking for.

Being burned once and all that.

One good thing, assuming this at least makes some sort of kickstarter goal to survive, is that DCS World WWII will be free to download and play. Just like base DCS World and RoF. Pretty low risk.

Also, interesting to see the mesh in those presumably EDGE screen-shots. It can't be too far away from some sort of public beta I'd guess (too far meaning 'months' and not 'minutes'). Shocked no-one has mentioned the colour of the grass doesn't look right for 1940's Britain! (kidding, I think).

Lets see, the map of this DCS WWII: Europe 1944 will be Normandy which means that we're talking about D-Day and probably the preceding months (Allied gaining Air Superiority over Northern France, namely Normandy), right? Than WHY OF HELL ON EARTH that the flyable Luftwaffe aircraft (and variants) and the Focke-Wulf FW190D-9 and the Messerschmitt Bf-109K-4 being that the production for both aircraft only stated on August 1944 (well after the D-Day invasion) and only entered in service after this date?!

Things like this and the lack of dynamic campaigns means NO THANKS for me!

It's the usual ricnunes post, don't get too bothered by it.

As for the people crying for Oleg trying to remind us of CloDs failure, they seem to forget who made Il-2.

So are we getting the 109K or the 109G?

Im sure Luthier said earlier in the week we are getting the 109K, but in the kickstarter info it says in 2 places its the 109G, must be a typo.

Personally i hope its the G

I was under the impression CLoD has several External "Issues" that contributed to the state it was in when it was released.

You cant Pin that All on Oleg Maddox.

Why yes, as the state of Cliffs of Dover was a kick in the balls, non? [admin edit: no personal attacks]

Check my math, but that's only $1,466 per testicle per day to reach goal 1?

I'm just having fun. You don't like flight sims, but have an opinion on them. Good stuff, and I always look forward to what you have to share. I know you had a rough time with a lot of unemployment, divorce etc so it's good to see your regular posts and that things are now all ok.

How's Total Rome 2 - any good?

Say all you want about the state of COD at release, but the bottom line is, a great sandbox was created by the developer, for mod teams like, Team Fusion, who are in the process of proving just how good the potential of COD was.

I have about 12 hours on CloD, give or take, and I've never posted anything in defense of it in the forum, so I don't think I qualify as a fanboy. I'm not a hater either though. The two posts you've made at the beginning weren't just about being wary.

I haven't enjoyed myself this much here since the heady days of the CloD release day. hahaha

XIII - good question, but I did make sure the kid on the right had fanbois spectacles on, so there's that.

Remon - 12 hours! Mace has 11 hours (we're Steam friends, and I just looked).
