I'll chip in with 40$.

This time they have a proven, working engine (DCS) and they don't seem to plan to reinvent the wheel.

Sounds good enough for me to risk the equivalent of a night on the town.

Oleg? hmmmmmmm.....how soon we forget.

Really want to pledge but the 7 years waiting for Oleg's CLOD still leaves a sour taste in my mouth, especially the way he jumped ship the day of release, i must say hes got some balls.

I will end up putting in 40 at least because i want to support the genre and it does sound good, very good.

But...Oleg?? dam.

Wow, seeing Oleg Maddox asking for my money in front of that fireplace as a moob boss made me laught and made my mind about backing this...is gonna be a: Thanks but NO thanks.

Poorly design for a kickstarter campaign, compare it with initial Star Citizen campaing, nothing new as far as I can see on those pics. Goals seems laughtable at least to me also the first goal is to release initial product, pay to be a DCS third party developer??. And one little thing, they have 1 month before this was lanched..they dont have a better graphic designer?? are you serious, that first image of the video is "poor" at least.

Resume: very poor campaing so Thanks but NO thanks.

It is without a doubt.

I wasn't happy with CloD either but the man IMO has earned a bit more than being solely remembered for CloD's failure.

Wow... you do realize that Chris Roberts invested several million dollars for the creation of the 1st Star Citizen builds and the crowdfunding campaign?

I'm a backer of SC, too. But you're really comparing apples and elephants.

Still..to me, call me mad or whatever, if you are going to ask for money, at least do not show up like a mafia boss in front of that fireplace!!!

And maybe CR spend several millions on that, but why Luthier and Co couldnt spend a lil more on video, maybe couple of thousand. IMHO.

Yep, in for $40.

Will be interesting to see if the armchair quarterbacks with the 'PC sims are dying and there is nothing we can do!!' will step up to the plate or not (*). Money talks.

(*) Yes, I realize I just murdered a sports metaphor.

I think that is enough reason not to pay a penny!

Also in for $40, but I'm really disappointed by how sloppy, unattractive and badly advertised the pitch is. Nobody except the DCS and SimHQ communities seem to have heard of it. The way the page is designed, the 'thrown together in 2 minutes' video thumbnail, lack of new information and anything to sell the product except Oleg Maddox's involvement turns the stretch goals into impossible dreams, and the initial goal into a hard fought battle.

I hope I'm wrong. 100K is not much and I may be proven wrong. No B-17, Mossie or P-38, 262, etc. though, with this kind of start. Don't really expect the Typhoon either.

Why oh why can't flight sim people get this right. Someone should have seen this wasn't ready to go live yet and postponed it till it is. If you are unable to delay your kickstarter for a month, then you fall into the same trap when a publisher releases a game early. This pitch is what you are selling, and I don't see many people buying it.
