Hi,I got a cyclic control from Mi 2 (also have L-29 stick) and i want use it as joystick for sims.It just need new paint and switches and this is what i want to ask.Where to get proper button switches and hat switch i was looking at electronic shops in my country and it looks that they have only 2 type of button switches which doesnt match (didnt found hat switch).

Or make one, HAT are only four micro switch around a pole.

For switch look for "kniter switch" this tyepe have very a positive click, but any momentary is suitable for your project.

I switched a native hat switch . Will not work only the 4th position.

If it returns to centre properly it might be possible to fix it, but it's hard to say without seeing it disassembled. My bet is that mil spec 4way switches use leaf switches instead of microswitches. If the brass contacts are worn off it might be possible to replace them by sacrificing those from a common lever type microswitch and soldering them in place of the worn ones. I have done this sort of job for the direction indicator selector on a vintage car. However, probably it is better to just try and lightly sand them first. In a simulator they won't need to carry much current, and are unlikely to spark as much (and therefore to wear off) as in the actual plane.

Thanks for links and advice.

Currently Iam finishing mechanics for Sukhoi rudder pedals and working on gimbal for stick (Iam following Baur's work smile ) When it will be done i will show it.

About original hat switch Iam going to disassemble it soon,but Iam afraid that its broken,its loose and it dont return to centre.
