This is the only game that has formed nostalgia for me, my first time on here it was pitch black and scary, then the next morning our camp got raided and I had nothing but an m24 and 3 mags, ended up killing the whole squad who raided us, then got lost near DC and died of thirst!

Hey, I'm returning after a long while, myself.

Any idea where Jeff, SG1, Falstar, Necromunger are now? Server/TS?

Hi Vash, and fellow survivors! They have been hanging out at Origins BMRF.ME#1 lately. Just fire up DayZCommander and use the "Add a friend" to find them the easiest.

I haven't been on for quite a while. 2 months ago my ladder broke at work, (Directv Installer) fell about 10 feet fracturing L1, L2, and right hip socket... so don't spend as much time at the computer that I used to.

Sure miss you guys! bottles

Wow fals, hope your healing up !

Vash I am enjoying the epoch mod, its a blend of minecraft and dayz with much fewer violent 12 year olds and no script kiddies in 2 months of gameplay.
Look for:

musty.us

urban decay

Both of those servers have bandit/hero AI and they play very well with good fps , they are the 2 I am working atm.

Ok the epoch adventures continue and I had some time last weekend.

Lots of versions with multiple add-ons both AI and with buildings and towns. The most interesting servers allow PVP but some are pure PVE, ie no player shooting.
The ones that are pure looting and no PVP have of course had to add elements to give the players goals and make the server feel, well fun :}

Friendly and bandit AI have been added with mixed results and one of the cool ones were working bus lines running routes and taking players for rides, very cool. This was on the epochmile

They are having some trouble with the turnarounds :}

I have spent a few days on and off working on the musty.us server and have a safe placed with a couple of locked vehicles, the safe locks and holds a full ural load of gear and its a bit like old times :

new build version due out soon with some much needed changes and also buildings that can house and lockup a car, cool stuff.

This brings back memories... Didn't turn out so well for me lol but good memories nonetheless.

I recently tried out A2 Dayz again but they have ruined it with proper "bases" instead of tents, that are all but impregnable to a loner like myself.

Plus the gfx from having played thousands of hours of A3 wasteland chernarus.......

Its still a good game. I'm still playing and don't die of dehydration as fast as i used to lol. Sometimes i even have a gun and ammo before anything else which used to be rare.

Yeah it is quite tempting to play except I am on Linux and too many bad memories (my own behaviour was abysmal) now I am in my thirties and "grown up" I look back and still feel ashamed.

IF YOU READ THIS the people I played with...I apologise sincerely and there's no reason, no ulterior motive... SQ1 I really apologize to you friend.

Geez many. many moons ago when I played with you guys. My oldest son is now 23 and we spend a long time with the group of guys from the old Survival Ops Hard Core DayZ server. That ended up turning into a milsim group there and then moved onto Spearhead Gaming as a group. They have tried resurrecting the old DayZ, Exile and milsim groups; last of which died out about 2-3 years ago and they have tried bringing it back a couple of times but nothing lasts anymore. I think Arma 3 is almost dead simply because of the stagnant development and such.

Anyway those were and always will be fond memories.
