I just wanted to share this in case others are having the same problem. A recent Windows update, kb2803821, may cause a video rendering error in Windows 7. Typically, the top half of the video will be black. http://www.infoworld.com/t/microsoft-win...-2834904-222636I ran into the issue with a puzzle game that I am running through Steam, but apparently it also affects other software such as Adobe Premiere. Uninstalling the Windows update fixed it.

I set all my PC's to "DL these patches automatically but let me decide when to install them." That way when I'm ready to patch, I don't sit there staring at the ceiling while it DLs those 100MB (because MS never has enough bandwidth for this), but it also never does it without my say-so.

well, the update prolly forces their botched MPEG-4 Codec again.
I Installed that a while ago, couldnt watch anything other than WMV without players crashing.
uninstalled.
New I.E. Came out, installed, It also installed their DirectX MPEg-4 Codec.
Problems Came Back, Uninstalled it again.
I tell it to download, but I hold them for a week to see if any issues come up, and uncheck/HIDE the problem updates and let the rest install.
