I do a bit of Sim racing and SimVibe does this really well. Thats what its designed for but it only works with supported games.

I also play flight sims and I wonder if there is a simvibe alternative for flight sims?

I'd give just about anything a go if it might work.

There is the Tactile Feedback Seat... You will have to wait for a long while though as they are having inventory issues though....

Thanks Gene that might be worth looking into. Multiple game support doesn't seem good though. I'll do some research.

What's the difference between SimVibe and the alternatives listed here and Buttkicker?

SimVibe is software working through a second sound card sending signals to the amps that run the buttkickers. These alternatives have control units that send the signal from your amps/pc to a set of tactile transducers placed in the seat cusions.

I actually just bought the SimVibe software last week and it works amazingly well.

Appalachian foothills in Virgi...
I remember reading about SimVibe on the racing sim website; TheWayIPlay. here is a couple of links if folks are interested:
A review/walk-through of SimVibe by one of the admins there:
Tsymaster entry on SimVibe

Here is a build log by one of the folks there that is phenomenal in how he incorporates multiple shakers with dedicated amps to drive them:
miahallen and the 'motionless' SimVibe rig

This last one spans 4 pages and most of a years worth of work, but dang interesting.
(Sorry if this a bit of a hi-jack of your thread, Snicks)

Good luck on your rig.
Derek
