These pilots are just plain insane! A few days ago this guy shows up in my back yard. Filmed in HD on my phone, so hit the HD on the video and make it full screen...and turn it up. biggrin

Holy crop, indeed. Thanks for sharing the videos, Weasy. I would have been hitting the deck when that plane went directly over.

Nice to see your new pickup.

If there's a reasonable living to be made doing that, that would be a pretty great job.

Cool videos. thumbsup

I always thought that would be a fun job when I first started flying.

Still looks like alot of fun, although I imagine a big heavy tail dragger like that is a bit touchy on the ground.

I see them crop dusting out in west texas a bunch when I drive. Same MO. I think the lower they get, the better the spray is applied to the crop.

What a cool job to have! Those planes seem (are?) so highly maneuverable. See them out here a lot in the central valley, watching the helis is good fun too.

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

Back in the '70s we raised peanuts. We had one crop duster that took pride in landing with peanut vines on his wheels. He felt that advertised that he was putting the spray where it belonged. He worked around here for several years until he flew into a power line at our place. He got the plane back to the strip, but the company fired him. We picked up pieces of airplane in the field for a couple of months as we found them.

Wow nice flying skills from that pilot, good vids Weasel_Keeper.

BTW If anyone has an interest in simulating this, there's a couple of really nice FSX crop duster planes from Alabeo and even a crop dusting mission I enjoy flying from time to time, some screenies:

A a sim fan of these, I hope to watch one of these talented crop duster pilots working sometime in real life.

There was a TV program on last year here about some crop dusters based out West.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.
