The longstanding 'impossible' feat of hovering a human powered helicopter has been attained...

The AHS Sikorsky challenge was met with a 64.1 second, 3.3m altitude hover by a human powered helicopter.

Never going to be a practical form of transport (while theoretically the HP aircraft *are* practical... if barely), but still an impressive feat of lightweight engineering and human effort.
