Quick question, hoping someone here can help...When I press the trigger on Cougar HOTAS, the second stage of the trigger causes view to zoom in. I can zoom out, but the loss of situational awareness is distracting. I went through the controls settings and cannot find the key binding to remove it. The Cougar is set to button and axis emulation OFF.

Had the same thing.

I had to look for a bit but found a button was mapped under pilot head movement i think to zoom in? Pretty much first stage trigger only fired, but second stage trigger was what caused the zoom if i recall correctly.

keep searching, it's in there somewhere, but fixable!

Yup. It is under head movement, view zoom, or similar. I was looking under view and weapons..

I find my reset zoom key changes from one a/c to the next. In some a/c it puts my head in the halfway position in others it puts my head in the full back position. The latter choice is what I really want.
