I think the battle for the Mius river will take place near here.
The Soviets attacked here shortly after the battle of Kursk started.
The German river line was breached and the Germans counter attacked with a Panzer division and a Panzer Grenadier division but failed to close the breach.
Eventually 2 SS divisions were diverted from the Kursk area to stabilize the area and throw the Soviets back across the river, which they finally did.

The SS divisions suffered more tank losses and casualties here than they lost during the entire Kursk campaign.

The book "Decision in the Ukraine" by George M. Nipe gives a very good account of the battles fought near the Mius river and devotes quite a few chapters to it.The book also covers all the major battles that took place in the Ukraine during the Summer of 1943 and is very good at describing these battles at the strategic and tactical level.

I highly recommend it and there is a pretty good preview here at Google books. If your looking for more information about the Mius river battles.

A books almost are very approximate and inaccurate. The best is a day summary of the combat from both sides.

It looks very good. Do you have a tentative date for the game's release?

New features will be in Mius:
1) Global airstrikes in operations, controlled by Main command, not relative to player
2) Main Command Reserve pool - units from it can be moved to any active platoon.
3) Renewed operational interface.
4) Simple control (and selection) for heavy weapons in squads (for example MG and ATR teams), you can select and operate independed for this teams for one squad or for whole battalion. No need to divide squads or do any strange things.
5) Improved sound system with sound waves relative to objects (projectiles) speeds.
6) Automaticaly selected battle place in operations is default behavior (can be disabled in arcade settings)

It looks good as always, Andrey. Any chance of a peek at the operational level screens, so that we can take a peek at the new operational interface?

Panthers are not needed for those battles that will be in Mius (at least we do not have any data yet that they were there).

we do not see the need for a fourth time to step on the same rake. No more tanksims.

This Panther D from GTOS.
