Hi everyone. I used to build plastic scale models as a kid. My favorite being the Red Baron Dragster. Yup I'm older than mountains! lol Can anyone give me any pointers about online stores that sell such kits. I'm mainly interested in Airplanes. Thanks in advance.

http://www.scalehobbyist.com/ These guys are my FAV so far. I miss being able to walk into a local hobby shop and browse around. But driving 90 minutes to a hobby town USA is not generally on my list of things to do. So ya, I turned to online retailers for a lot of what I am after. Also AMAZON.com is of course worth a shot. But there are quite a few online sellers out there. But I JUST returned to building model kits biggrin. On #4 now since I picked it back up 4 months ago. biggrin

Squadron Shop ( www.squadron.com ) is my first stop online when looking for aircraft models.

I'm guessing these are all US-based stores?

Anybody want to chime in with UK-/EU-based sellers?

I guess by far the largest is Hannants, http://www.hannants.co.uk/

If you cross the North Sea and only like planes, the Aviation Mega Shop (near Schiphol, http://www.aviationmegastore.com/ ) or Flash Aviation (in Eindhoven, http://flashie.nl/ ) are the best choices that I know of.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

In the UK I've bought a fair few things from Wonderland Models: http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/
Their physical shop is just near me, and they provide really good service, both online and offline.

Modelhobbies http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/ has a pretty good selection at a decent price. I have my eye on some of the hobbyboss 1/48 WW2 tanks. smile
