Thanks Wheels, it's not the money, it's the principle. I was one of the lead anti-Sucu-Rom rabble rousers prior to and when 46 was released, sadly been proven right.
Gonna find a way to beat it just for principle. One thing about the internetz, more ways to be found around Crappy Protection then there are places to buy Viagra.

[I will attempt to update to the new DBW standards, seems to be the most popular mod.
DBW didn't even get 4.11 support. You are much better off updating to HSFX as they did do a proper 4.11 and will likely do a 4.12 - just wait a bit and see what happens.

My install keeps freezing when I hit the 'quick mission' button, I have to totally reboot the computer. This after applying the 4.12 patch.
anyone know a fix?

anyone know a fix? Go to Quicks folder and delete .last.quick - this will do the trick.

No, you don't need to downgrade.
However, I find 4.11 with HSFX far better than 4.12
4.12 doesn't have the f-80s, f-84s, f9fs, doesn't have the flyby sounds, which are absolutely KILLAH, etc

Hmmm Korean war campaign sounds great! It's a Jet Carrier Campaign and I will attempt to update to the new DBW standards, seems to be the most popular mod. Link to Campaign on M4T sounds good to me, jets, carriers, very nice

Beware the changes to ai coms (TAB menu) kind of FUBAR use of voice control aps like Shoot and VAC.
I thought it would just be a matter of reprograming my Shoot map for IL2 ... until I discovered that the number combinations now depend on how many planes are in your flight. They are not universal. Call for help, for example, is TAB 7 in a mission where it's just you and a wingman, but TAB 8 if there's a 3rd or 4th plane in your flight. I noticed that too and think it was a mistake for them to change to multiple commands for the very reason you mention. I also know that I have already used the wrong command when I was in a hurry and didn't read the drop down list. Wheels

No, thats not all. '46 also contained the addons 'Pe-2 Peshka', '1946' and 'Sturmoviks over Mandshuria'.
'46 is the only thing you can go on from.

Sadly, no. Having FB with AEP will not work. Even if FB and AEP are in 1946 (and also Pacific Fighters and Pe-2), the patches and mods have used 1946 as the base to build upon.
You'll have to spend some money to get 1946.
[EDIT] Beat to the punch by Caspar. Watching Blackadder II doesn't help.
