Hi guys,

I just logged in really quickly to share a tip on software compatibility in Windows. If you can't part with your Jurassic software, like me, it's always a good idea to install Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit (here). It will solve a lot of problems for you. Just install it and hundreds of compatibility shims will be automatically applied, although you can easily disable them.

Thanks. I do have a couple old games I still like -- but seem to have an issue with Window 7, 8. Maybe this will help.

It's not a guarantee, of course. Some of my older games that no longer work stopped because the video drivers no longer support the old DX calls used in a game written for DX5, or 3. Windows wasn't at fault at all, rather the problem was my newer video card required drivers newer than a certain date and the vendor's driver stopped supporting those calls before that point.
