after watching the presentation, it looks like the ps4 is the better deal to me

I just pre-ordered mine tonight.

I got both per-ordered and will cancel when more/final info released.

I'm leaning towards it.

Im going to avoid it like the plague and go back to the PC platform for gaming. I used to think the PS3 was the plug and play version of gaming but have come to realise you are essentially stuck with a 486 SX25 while everyone else has moved in to the 21st century.

Sure, the PS4 will be a fine bit of kit on day 1 but thats where it ends. It will age, just like every other console does immediately.

I pre-ordered an XBoxOne. Nothing against PS4 at all, just think the XBox makes most sense for me and my family.

I will buy a PS4 next spring/summer when it has it's first price break or when some new release on it makes it worth it to buy as a special bundle, for now PS3 still has lots of life with GT6 and Last of Us coming out.

At this point XBOne is no longer in my plans since it looks like Microsoft got greedy again and made it not compatible with Fanatec XB360 wheels so Forza5 is no longer driving my upgrade to XBOne, I will stick with my 2 XB360s for Forza4, TrialsEvo, BF3, WMC7 TV Extenders etc.

PC gaming is going strong and where I spend 80% of my time anyhow PS4 will be my console for new exclusives. Sad since Microsoft is a big employer here in town and I like to support them whenever I can, but not a the cost of being a fool and having to buy another new wheel for XBOne.

WOW, if true... that may be the point the breaks it for me finally.

It chages daily, but right now i have both pre-ordered, and looking to cancel both...as of right now... will follow, wait, and decide.

Fanatec Confirms they are working on Making CSR Wheels Compatible with next gen consoles.





Also the Thrustmaster Wheel in Development for Xbox One will be Multiplatform, and will use Rumble in Clutch and Brake Pedals.

Fanatec team members are also posting on 911wheel.de about it, but they cant comment on it in detail.

Seems like late in the dev cycle for Fanatec to be trying to get this working with no comment from Microsoft, if it was something XBOne supported you would think it would be supported out of the box not some retroactive crap that Fanatec is hoping to find a way to do... I bet they are trying alright because they will lose many future sales otherwise.

I think they've been working on it for a while, at least once the ClubSport Shifter was released and they got time to start working on it.

They FINALLY released that shifter? I didn't even know, I about gave up on it. Will have to check it out.
edit: nice, but they missed that $100 price point they wanted. $150 isn't too bad though.

yeah, when i get the dough to pony up this fall im gonna get one, simply cuz the stock shifter on the CSRs suck something awful

Pre-ordered the One for now. Wait and see I guess. Nothing against the PS4 but my PS3 gathered dust for the most part. Most of my gaming has been on the 360. Preferred Forza over GT

I've never bought a next generation console at release season. Always several years later. This time around I'd like to get the PS4 for its initial exclusive games like Metal Gear Solid. The Division does look very cool. I don't think I ever played any online mp on the PS3 though. My only mp console gaming was done on the 360 and Xbox live.

Dude I'll join you for The Division. I usually know what I'm doing half the time for the most part in a different kind of way mostly.

I'm going to be very happy with my PC, ps3, wii, and DS for quite some time. I still have a TON of AAA games to play for it. I'll wait until the dust settles and a nice bundle or price drop rolls out in a few years before I pull the trigger.

I recently bought the DS and wii dirt cheap brand new, and I've had the ps3 since launch pretty much and still have many great games to play and rent from Gamefly to go through before I move on to next gen.

OK price, OK overall package and most importantly no DRM leashes; will get one at launch or close to it. Was already 30+ when buying the 360 as my first console and got way more out of it than expected. It's really fun for us old men to meet once in a while and play sports or racing games. Hopefully the new Sony controller will be better or a third party look-alike of the xbox controller will be made available for PS4.
