Volunteer to be the forward observer and take control of the artillery (it's complicated and usually nobody really wants to do it). Eventually they will realize that you are far more dangerous to them with these assets than with a grenade launcher. When you later indicate that you might be willing to pass on control over the artillery to someone more competent but that you'd at least like to have a harmless grenade launcher, the collective breathe of relief will easily help you to negotiate this "compromise"

You know it sure would be nice if we could get some teasers about this new release. June is just around the corner. Isn't it time to start ramping up the publicity for this great event?

the release of 3.0 has been pushed back one month, until July, to take time to fix a bug that was found.

Ssnake's post about the release being pushed back: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/showpost.php?p=232883&postcount=12

he won't start releasing too many details until the code is frozen.

check the steelbeasts.com forums for the latest up to date news of 3.0: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/index.php

Ssnake also revealed these "consolation prizes" at the steelbeasts forum.

he also revealed that there will be a playable M1A2 SEP by posting some screenshots here:

Having a week-long defense exhibition and user's conference in a foreign country right now doesn't exactly help - having disciplined time management or not.

Well, you could buy it now and upgrade later. Cost wise it'll be the same for you, but you get to play faster and the initial bill is (currently) $75.-

Yes, I know. That's the plan, but I've ran out of my pocket money in this month. smile

So, shadows for that game, finally, eh? Wonder if they improved the smoke and explosion effects, too. That and maybe throw in some Sweet FX. Would love to see this sim come down in price but I know it's not gonna happen. Looking forward to more screenshots.

Sorry i was to quick to post the details.
You had not uploaded the pics of the leo_1 variants at that stage.
They look great. Can't wait to fight in the beast And against it.

Esim made Eisenschwein a happy Tanker.LoL

Hi Pooch.

It may seem a little expensive initially.
But when you take what you're getting in terms of sheer amount of Vehicle plus a mission and map editor.
Its great value. Compared with other military Sims. You're really buying a sim with a lot of add ons and updates.
Esim simply change the version number after each update.
If your considering purchasing its well worth the money.

most people end up spending far more money playing world of tanks than they do Steel beasts

SB comes in 3 variations.

"SB2" "SB pro PE" and "SB pro".
"public" "pub/mil" "military"

That is great to hear. Even just a little makeover of the smoke columns coming out of killed vehicles or explosions would go a long way for immersion and atmosphere.
