I've only come as far as the demo =)

But if I do get the full version (FA sounds more fun though) can you pan the cockpit view with a HAT switch? Can't get that to work in the demo.

I honestly have no F'ing idea.
I believe the standard controls for it is the number pad, right? I have a TM HOTAS setup and I programmed my hat to move the cockpit around since until the digital upgrade it wouldn't recognize the hat as analog anyway!
What stick do you have? Is it not programmable?

Hey guys, what is the latest on the next one with the A10/Su25? Is it still in the works? I remember hearing they were also going to get the ships to move and some other goodies, but it has bee a while since I've heard anything.

Flanker 2.5 is due next, that adds a MiG-29, aerial refueling, and a few other things.

Flanker: Attack is the working name of the A-10/Su-25/39/possible other planes sim that will add moving ships. I know that for certain because a beta tester posted some screen shots of moving ships in a forum on combatsim I think. Also showed the A-10 in flight--looks great! There's no release set for that yet, but it's definitely NOT this year, not with 2.5 not yet out!

On hat panning - of course it's possible, you just program your stick with the in game utility. I turned on hat panning for dogfight CAC, NAV, and GND mode, but didn't do it for BVR...

Moving ships, ship2ship engagements & MiG29k Navy Fulcrum will be in Flanker 2.5. Last posted release date was end of this month.

A-10, & maybe other stuff + 4X bigger map will be Flankers Attack (title still up in air) release date q4-00 or q1-01.

You can pan the view with the default settings. Hold the shift key while using the hat, and you should be able to look around. The shift, ctrl, and alt keys modify all joystick buttons to multiply its function by a factor of 3. That's the way it is in the full version, I can only assume it's the same in the demo.
