Were playing on a server thats a private hive but running vanilla DayZ. So far its been fairly stable and has a good admin not to mention pretty regular players that seem like good people. I'm not sure if you remember where we used to keep our campsite but its the same area as before (will PM camp/server info).
I've got a bad feeling about this.....

Well the main hive was a data collection center for the mods performance and since its going stand alone now the main hives have gone wild and now randomly switch maps, mods, and 3 different versions of hello kitty...............when you get in at all..... I dropped out at the 1st of the year to focus on my toys and i am waiting for a stable stand alone to check it out again, best of luck in your server searches : and for the prize of 1 can of beans, whats this location ?

Yeah Mars I haven't messed with the public hives for some time (every now and then I join to check out my gucci'd character). I've had some success with fairly stable private hives and the one were playing on now is pretty good with a decent admin. Now matter how good the server is you still get the random hacker attack but a private hive with a good admin will roll the server back when the server gets attacked so you minimize the losses. I'm really eager to get my hands on the standalone since I think that will restore the SimHQ group to regular playing status. But if you ever get the urge Mars send me a PM and I'll send the details to the server were on right now (running vanilla DayZ and has decent players). We've established the usual camp in the usual spot.....

So much fun can't wait for standalone to get this group going again we had so much fun playing before the hack! I think Moose posted the video of the actual crash on the forum here. It's probably a few pages back by now. I'll have to try hooking up with you guys on Origins over the weekend or some such. I have a better ISP now and shouldn't have the connection issues I was having before. I do miss playing with the group. Here is the link to the chopper madness/crash thread for any interested.

So much fun were all missing out on. I've been playing on a whitelisted private hive for the last few days with some buddies I met on the server from my previous posts. So far its been good, definitely a PVP server but they run a custom version of the map with some new areas to explore (implemented very well). About three helis spawn on a regular basis and lots of vehicles to cut down on running. If you guys are interested let me know, best news is not one hacking event yet and the admins here are extremely active in dealing out justice if a hacking event takes place. They also ban asshats that talk in side chat! Could be a fun place for our group, any case let me know if you guys are interested.

Those were good times in a video game; I remember the first time running up to the original camp location back on either US9 or US10 and having my oldest son playing with us as well. About the only thing I miss from then is the group of guys that we had working together at all hours of the day and night.
