Well, I didn't pay for a promise, that's just all I have as a placeholder for the product I bought. As far as I'm concerned, it's just on a very long route from UPS. However, if they're relying on crowd funding, accepting money etc. they have a responsibility to keep up with it, technical issues, and reconciling their actual collections with what shows in their system. But it does happen. LOL That said, I bet it works out. Might keep a copy of that statement handy in case it comes up again later.

BTW for anyone interested in revisiting the Wingcommander/Privateer series that Chris Roberts is famous for, GOG has them on special sale this weekend: http://www.gog.com/promo/ea_weekend_promo_030513 I picked WC3 and Privateer up so that I can try it in the good DOSBOX tweaks that GOG seems to provide and also so I can finally throw out my CDs for both.

Expect WC3 to have an issue. Google it and you should find the fix in no time. I don't remember what the issue was.

I think the WC I played was Prophecy. Might still have it here somewhere. I liked the live action scenes, added a lot to it, especially considering how it would've looked trying it in cgi at the time. Biff played Maniac IIRC. LOL

Wow glad to hear you will be joining us WeaselGX, but sad to hear you ran into the same issue, be sure to post on their support forum about the issue so they know it is not just an isolated case, hopefully they will reply to billing support on us soon.

Ok, So I did the 'Scout' level backing $35, and see that in my account. Where do I go to see what that includes, because I totally can't remember... Cheers! EDIT: Nevermind, found it. Looks like I get the Aurora, that is what I was curious about.

A little hard to find info, and a bit odd they seem to have ship packages and then these other packages. Looking at this page, it's got the packages on the right column, just expand: http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/ *The finished game for your PC with your RSI Aurora spaceship ready to fly. *1,000 credits 2 Months Ship Insurance Delivery Est: Nov 2014 The ship-sale package is here: http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/the-aurora-revealed/Somewhere in there is a link to the other ship check out, but I can't find it. LOL

Great news, Billing got back to me and fixed up my pledge to reflect the Advanced Starter Package I paid for, they were swamped with the Aurora promotion and apologized and were very friendly. Very glad with the resolution, hopefully you will be fixed up soon WeaselGX,

he mere fact that you can buy a ship well really the game only to lose the ship you actually paid money for because you got shot down is pretty poor to be honest..
I think if you buy the game\ship you never loose it..only ships you buy with in game credits should have insurance..i.e ones you got through game money not real money.
Anyone who held off will def think twice about buying the game knowing that if they get shot down thats it..their purchase goes up in digital smoke.
Imagine if other games did this...what you died..oh tough..you can't have back what you paid us for.. Honestly the more I'm seeing of Star Citizen the more disappointing it's becoming. It feels like they're going full force price gouging at this point. You can buy a hundred different things for a game that doesn't even exist. I paid 30 bucks for the kickstarter, but I'm not paying more for an MMO that's all about buybuybuy. Insurance? What a supremely stupid concept.

Imagine if other games did this...what you died..oh tough..you can't have back what you paid us for.. Not really sure what you are talking about. If you preorder/buy a ship you have life time insurance with it and if you get shot down it will always be replaced. That was never the main idea for the game though. It was only an incentive for people to back them. Once the game goes live players will have 1-6 months of free insurance. The idea is that you have enough time with the starter ship to make enough in game money to pay for another ship. If you dont you can always take out a loan to buy an in game ship. There was also some talk that you would always have access to a non jumpdrive ship and would have to work in a single system to save up for a jump capable ship or pay to to transfer to another system. I dont think what they are doing is unreasonable. If anything I think they are going overboard with giving people too many lifetime insured ships. But honestly if they want to make this game without taking money from a large corporation / publisher then they are going to have to come up with a way to get people to buy their product. One thing they have been very adamant about is that this will NOT be a pay to win game. But they always want to make it so that if you cant devote 40 hours a week to grinding in game money you can still be competitive.
