Yeah I am looking forward to this (assuming they eventually get my billing issue squared away), the amount of detail and awesomeness they have planned will be great if they even get 1/3 of it done. And I don't think it's dumb to spend $50 or even $100 to help support a game like this be made and then get a bunch of benefits you can enjoy, I spent $120 on MWO Founder's and have been playing it like crazy ever since last July... so I'm definitely getting my money's worth and enjoyment on that money many fold, especially when taking into account that I spend $100 taking the wife and kids to the movies one time and usually come away thinking how much the movie sucked and how expensive it is I love to buy $10 games during Steam sales too, but unless we crowd fund these types of games they will never get made and we will be stuck with the more typical, designed by committee, must appeal to twitch type of games that quickly go on Steam sale months after release because there was nothing special about them. PS. also glad to see much of the SimHQ MWO crew will be in Star Citizen, let's hope it turns out awesome.

LOL I'll look into it again. I liked the sound of the game, I just preferred how with MWO you got in on the Founders deal and the game was already going to enjoy it. Are these frigates and fighters you guys are talking about, or are there some larger class ships you could start with? Where should I start checking on this? Ok, I see the list. Pricey, but I guess they'll have some sort of balancing so the Auroras don't just get steamrolled. http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/add-ons/

Is there a benefit for a referral? I see that on the pledge page. Whoever puts their name up can find out for us.

Yea they get pricey The constellation has a max crew of 4 and cost 225 bucks. They had a heavy bomber that crewed 6 people and sold it for 250 bucks (the retaliator) and it cost 250 bucks (I bought one lol). Then they had Idris Class Corvette that crewed 10 people and was the ONLY capital ship for sale at the price of 1000usd which I wanted but did NOT buy lol. They also had a destroyer and gave out 10 of them randomly AFAIK but it was never for sale and there is no info on it AFAIK. The referal thing was a contest. Whoever got the most won a free Idris Corvette and a bunch of hardware (new pc etc) but that contest is over. You can put "Master" in there if you want. I dont think it does anything anymore.

Caught up with Kludger in MWO last night and tried it. Looks like just a thank you note. Did the $45 package. The rest were unreasonable for a game I can't jump into now to know how I feel about it. Just have to grind my way like most. Any eta on game launch?

They are giving away a special space suit to anyone who pledges before the new site as well. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/introducing-your-rsi-space-suit/Raw Kryptonite, there is a 4 stage release planned. Stage 1 (September 2013)is a hanger module where you can walk around and go into all of the ships you bought. They were even talking about making it MP so you can invite your friends to see the ships you own. Stage 2 (December 2013) will be a dogfighting deathmatch game (to test the net code) and they will slowly build that up and release the Stage 3 beta for the squadron 42 (military mission mission based game) and release it Q2/3 2014. Then stage 4 which is the open world MMO 2015. So it looks like this Sept 2013 Viewable spacecraft module Dec 2013 Dogfight Game Dec 2014 Squadron 42 (Mission based game) Dec 2015 Open world MMO I am sure those dates are all subject to change though. They could land sooner since they made about 3 times they money they thought they would or they could extend since delays in game development are like flies on Shi....

Still waiting for them to reply to the billing support emails I sent last Sat and Tues or my Support forum post... still no pledge status despite the cc charge being on my account sigh.
But trying to not let that rain on my parade too much and stay patient, I am excited to play this eventually, going to try to re play Wing Commander 3 and Privateer (GOG) just to remember the fun I used to love.

I saw your posts on the support thread. I am glad there were people there that were able to sympathize with you.
Gotta take the long view I guess. Right now you aren't really out anything, so it doesn't hurt to be patient. I am actually out $45 (need to pay credit card company soon) but just have to hope they will be able to see that charge on their system and give me the pledge and benefits, my only worry is if they see no record and refuse to do anything, but I think that is very unlikely, if so I think they have bigger problems :P

It is hard for me to put the thoughts into words. When you decide to crowdfund, you are basically making the decision to buy something now for a promise to get something in the future. The only thing you are missing right now is that promise. That is why I say you aren't really out anything. Take Master, for example. He has shelled out something like $500 and has no game to play. He is taking the long view. I paid $65 for a promise. I am taking the long view. It also is giving me time to finish my "simpit" It is all a matter of perspective, I guess. Also, I used a debit card, so the monies was gone right away.

Ah I understand now, yeah indeed I am paying for a promise which may or may not come true :-) but I have good hope it will, and I will feel better once they catchup on their email and acknowledge the promise To be honest the game has got me pretty excited, I ignored the KS because there was some other space sim KS going at the same time and I figured too many KS at once is not a good thing and I will let the system work out the one that is best, but once these guys got the funding and kept going and showing demos I saw that what they are working on is pretty promising and I loved Wing Commander and Privateer so an updated one on steroids and with MP would be awesome. FearlessFrog check the post from Master in this thread for the summary of their latest ETA, it will be a while PS Master thanks for the generous pledge insurance :P hopefully all our support will have huge payoffs in fun.
