Cool, that's really looking good Flashburn.Even if some players aren't interested in a Tunisia DLC I think they would be at a loss not to be impressed by the shear beauty of that map. Thanks for the updates I really appreciate seeing how all the pieces of putting together a DLC fit together.

I can picture the Jolly Green Giant in the background with his arms folded looking over the village.

for this guys.....no. At least not yet:D. The battle here was mainly infanrty on infantry. Its historical after all. If it pans out.... expand area to some other close by fighting where YES M3 sturt, M3 LEE, and m4 shermans fought. I REALLY want to do.. But doing this step by step way is most logical. AS the US and some UK army guys are needed. They need to get made BEFORE the tanks and stuff anyways. Also test of sorts. But this project is still off in future somewhere. I hope complete before Dec22 2013.... 71 years after battle. biggrin

THESE graviteam DLC's are slowing me down as well...muhahah

lol........me too. The cuban t55's and the no love open areas I have not gotten too yet.

Lots of tweaken to stuff to do. The LOD's of bushes drop out to soon and make far off stuff look empty like open desert.
Dust needs to get toned down... ANd midday was selected which makes everything look more harsh.

Stuff like this in background is not showing at all. Just more tweaks to do. Ill make some screens of areas more done next. With Germans lol. DId not even look at sides when I ran quick battle. Had Cubans VS Germans. lol.

OH and the lighting render pass was not done for test. No need and takes FOREVER to do.

Flashburn said earlier that Longstop is mainly going to be an infantry battle. He hasn't finished making them yet.
The American forces pretty much have to be started from scratch and the Germans will need tropical type uniforms.
From what I understand Night_Postman the guy who has done some excellent uniform modding for this series will be helping Flashburn,so we probably will be seeing some very nice work for this project DLC once they are finished.

I am hitting the pause button on this project. real world issues have forced this decision on me. I need work BAD. I also want to work in game production. Local studios which I feel I have the best shot at want Unreal engine knowledge. This is something I do not have. I have been trying to come up with some solution and the best I can think up is to remake an FPS version of longstop in RO2/rising storm. Not my 1st choice but uses unreal and has assets needed. It also may allow assets I make for LONGSTOP fps to be reused for longstop GTOS here (I HOPE). This is the best solution I can think up. Longstop and Tunisia IMO are a ntaural for western market GTOS game. I really beleave in it. The early builds where I threw around vehicles where good. Vary good IMO. I could slap together something quickly and release map but I still hope for my true vision of what it could be. Its not there. By hitting pause and getting the check mark on portfolio I hope to hit 2 birds with 1 stone.

I love what graviteam does. Their games are 1st rate. With more polish on UI and figuring out way (NOT EASY) to make more accessible to main stream folks they could really make a dent in market IMO. But I must face facts and get stupid skills required by local employers. Beleave me.... I would MUCH rather make longstop, US/UK armor and weapons, destroyable aircraft, spaa guns. In fact my hard drive is exploding with referance stuff. To be frank it is a sad time in game production. The player base seems to be getting more stupid and uses less brains. The big studios are making garbage and the distribution systems are stacked up against small guys. The only GOOD thing is computer power is SO much more now. Alas misused on crap IMO.

If I can not return to my baby longstop I will come up with something to get it out there in some form. But in current state it does NOT full fill my vision. I hope in coming months something will switch. This is good project. But half assed is worse than not at all. At least for now.

Another possible thing is to wait for mius... Gives me time to fix dumb life issues.
