Wow, seems the pilot in that film, Jeff Ethell, was actually killed flying that plane, sad I've watched a lot of film with him presenting.

wonderful. My mom worked on those airplanes during the war while my dad was in the army air corps. dad to know that Mr Ethell lost his life, but he certainly had some great experiences.

I have this on VHS, which gives you an idea of how old this film is (and how old I am!). This actually isn't the whole movie. At the end they did two reenactments of stories told by a couple of P-38 pilots. One in Europe and the other in the Pacific. Ethell was one of the great names in the Warbird movement. He's missed. I have all of his books on color photography in WW2. Most of it dealing with aviation, of course.
