Hey Ads (or anyone who can help),

After seeing you used Skydrive for storing/sharing your mission files, I liked the look of it and promtly stole that idea! smile

I was trying to upload a screen shot the other day and was trying to link to a folder on Skydrive. When I follow the instrutions it says "embed "my picture" in a blog or web page. It gives the "Copy the HTML code to embed this photo" but when I paste it here it wont actually open the page.

When I use dropbox it works! Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Skydrive:

Dropbox: Drop Box File - "On Our Own"

Your link above doesn't work because it's posted using iframes (HTML elements), and the forum software doesn't allow that. On a blog, or other webpage, it'd probably be fine.

I'm not sure whether Skydrive allows direct image embeds, but the closest I can get is this link. It shows your image on the page with some file details, and lets me load the original size image, too.

To get a link like that, try right clicking the file in Skydrive and choosing "Sharing", then on the popup menu, choose "People with a View Link" under "Public". That's how I create a URL that points to the file I want to highlight/share.

BTW, I've never hosted an image before, so I've still got a bit to learn there.

Ah, thanks mate, thats much appreciated.

Dropbox does seem more striaght forward for the uploading of a file, so might stick with that for now.

Thanks again!
