Does anyone use TrackIR with the camera behind the head? Does the Trueview option work for you?

I ask because in my camera behind head setup I can't get trueview working. And I want to know if it's a configuration fault on my side or is it a bug in the TrackIR Software.

I also posted about this problem in the naturalpoint forum:
http://forum.naturalpoint.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=54870#Post54870

Quote:
My setup is as follows:

hardware configuration:
-track ir 5 camera behind head, normal position (upside up)
-trackclip pro on the left side of my head but upside down (LEDs pointing backwards)

software configuration:
-version 5.2.2
-camera position: 180 degrees rotated
-yaw, y, z axis inverted
-roll axis disabled

Trueview disabled works like it should.
But Trueview enabled doesn't work:
E.g. if I rotate the virtual head 90 degree right and afterward I move my (physical) head toward the screen, the virtual head doesn't move along the virtual view direction like it should in trueview. Instead it moves along the global virtual z axis (like trueview disabled).

Can anyone confirm this bug?

if the camera is behind you, and the pro clip is on the left side facing back, dont put it on upside down, put it on right side up. (Putting it upside down just causes too many issues with getting the right combo of axes inverted.)

Basically with the camera behind you, and the track clip facing behind you (right side up), you rotated EVERYTHING Horizontally 180 degrees.

The only axes you have to invert are the Vertical Look Axis and the Fore/Aft Movement Axis,
As when you look up with your head, the IR Leds will go down. or when you lean forward, the IR LEDs move away from the receiver.

I doubt that this is the cause, because my setup works with trueview disabled. Therefore the axis configuration seems correct. It's only the trueview option that is not working correct.

Anyway I tested your suggested configuration. But trueview isn't working correct there too: If I look say 90 degrees up or down (virtual view) and then move my physical head toward the screen the virtual head moves BACK! instead forward.

So I'm more and more sure this is a bug in the trackir software.
