For your viewing pleasure and to help tide the cold dark days until WOFF is finally upon you, we bring you a few new reveals and goodies in the form of a new movie...
Gee, and I'm the first to see it! I was just about to go to bed, and now you gave me fever. A hot fever can be nice sometimes - when the phantasies cardwheel in your mind, you need no drugs, and this may best the next best thing to having WOFF on my rig.
Great little movie - first thing I noticed were Creaghorn's great new gun sounds - the distinctive Pop! Pop! Pop! of the Lewis, and the Klinck!Klinck!Klinck! of the "Spandaus". Boy, I'm longing for WOFF even more now!
The feller who flew the kites for this film must have been an early Kamikaze - or was he always out of ammo? Mmuahahahahahaaaa!!!!

The crew running from the albatros you strafed....such a fantastic detail. The sounds and the visuals, that crunching wood sound when you hit other planes, fantastic! I can't wait!
I didn't see anyone running from that Albatros, redpiano... you must have misinterpret the dirt spikes... Anyway, did I see individual skins in that Sopwith Pup take off sequence? Or the differently marked skins (2,3) were just "aces" like in OFF? The new GUI looks fantastic and what to say about the skies, the aerodromes and the overall "I was there" impression!
Watched it again in highest resolution; it is so brilliant that I can watch it full screen, which I recommend. For all who may not know: click on the toothed wheel at the bottom under the video screen, select the highest (HD) resolution, and right of that, the middle or the right frame, to get medium size or full screen.
After flying another sim a lot lately, which has a more modern visuals/graphics engine, I had thought WOFF could not reach up there. The video proves me wrong. Even though the visuals may not been that modern, it is the overall touch and atmosphere, the harmonious tuning of the whole design - and something I can't quite put my finger on - it is the total of the feelings, which creates a world, which is really there, and for which I still haven't found a better word than "totally immersive".

It's been mentioned we get skins other than aces...

OFF and WOFF beat the other sim in the graphics department hands down when it comes to terrain and skies..
First, thank you very, very much for taking the time to put this together and share it with us Pol. I know that you guys are a small Dev team and taking the time to put together such movies must put a dent in your production schedule, so please know that it is greatly appreciated.
Second, it may be a movie about "small glimpses", but those glimpses say alot about how much more immersive you have made WOFF. The little details like the sounds made when two planes collied has been greatly improved. Watching the wings rip away from a downed fighter and seeing them float past was wonderful. The distinct sounds of gunfire between Allied and German planes is fantastic. The crash scene effects are awesome. Of course the cockpits and terrain are gorgeous. All in all, it blends extremely well into a very believable world.
High production values, high quality artwork and sounds all look like it will lead to high flying adventure for a very long time to come. Can't wait. My sincerest hopes WOFF will be able to ship in 2013!
Paarma, your Albatros D.V skins are looking great, Sir! If I still make many own skins in WOFF, then that is solely because I love making skins so very much.

Indeed the Albatros D.V skins looked superb! Only one question, though... The external model as well as the in cockpit view (which looked so advanced over the OFF's one, BTW ) seemed to be of a D.Va! (minus the braces, but they were not mandatory, anyway) Is it kind of place holder till the real D.V 3D is finished?
For those of you who might have missed it, I noticed a few very nice features in the WOFF Manager.
First, we can clearly see a Multiplayer option (circled in red).
Second, we can see individual flight members load outs, ammo and fuel is changable by the player. Third, we can also see a graphic description of what type of formation you wish to select for your flight.
Plenty more goodies in the video, but those struck me as being particularly cool and exciting even amongst all of the eye candy and sound effects improvements.
It often does in a forum - cause we still cannot transport the emotion and the grimaces the "speaker" would make. But I would have thought Columbo IS funny enough?
Friends again?
