What’s new:
1. Mouse Wheel can control FOV
2. POV buttons can control EO
3. Left/Right mouse buttons (Lock target/Next target) works both in Main View and EO Control mode (except Apache Longbow - in Main View mode LMB/RMB used for TSD)
4. In Apache Longbow available all targeting systems – you can select target by TSD in Main View mode or by EO in EO Control mode, like in other helos (you can change mode by pressing Middle mouse button)
5. Changed code for EO camera control by mouse – it sensitive now and much smoother (helps a lot when targeting with Hind’s periscope)
6. When using 6DOF TrackIR - Z axis changes field of view
7. [1.1] EO Zoom by Joystick works now in helos, that have Wide/Narrow zoom levels (Apache, Havoc, Default cockpits..). Not perfect, but works.
8. [1.2] New EO stabilization system. Have roll and simple lift compensation, works well during low speed maneuvering or straight moving.
9. [1.3] Fixed HIND periscope issues. You will back into cockpit view by pressing PgDown. In Mouse View control mode you can use POV buttons to control targeting system.
10. [1.3.1] Fixed EO azimuth/elevation limits while EO POV control is active.
Not fixed bugs:
1. [fixed]
2. In Default cockpit RMB (next target) doesn’t work.
3. [fixed]
Now some theory. There is devices priority – Joystick is the first, TrackIR – second, Mouse and POV buttons are last due to selected mode. For example: if you are using 2DOF TrackIR, mouse can be used only in EO control mode. If you are using Joystick FOV and 6DOF TrackIR, Z axis of TrackIR will change pilot's head Z position (like before). If you are use Joystick EO Control and EO Zoom, mouse wheel will always changes FOV, Mouse and POV buttons can be used only in Main View mode. Table below show all available modes. I have tested all modes in different configurations and it works well, but of course I can miss something. I’m not sure that it is suitable for most users and modders, so will see what feedback it will get.
I need to caution you before download. If you afraid, that this exe will delete your eech folder, blow CPU or eat your dog - please don't use it. I have some troubles during compilation, so it can do it, believe me. In debug mode there is a lot critical errors, but in commercial build it's quite stable. Also I have some sound troubles and have had to disable hardware sound buffers by changing "hdwrbuf" in eech ini. I recommend you to make backup of your config file ([game_folder]/cohokum/eech.ini) and your user file ([game_folder]/cohokum/eech.ini/playersv.bin). This exe just for test and I do not recommend to use it like stable build. To play just place COHOKUM_VIEW_CONTROL_1.3.1.exe into COHOKUM folder and run.
