There were so few made... That's probably why. Vickers, B.E.2s and Morane Parasol's were far more prevalent.

Well, many WWII sims have modeled the Me163 and Me262, even though their impact on actual battles was small...but their impact on the war itself was large despite their small numbers and limited use.
Regardless of one stat or another, I just hope to see many significant planes modeled. If they built a lot but few saw service, or if they built a handful but were grounded, or for whatever reason simply had no significance to the war, leave it out or just put it at the bottom of the list.
For me, more early war planes is the thing I want to see most to make the careers starting early have more. I don't care that the planes are slow and have 1 gun, if I'm flying in 1915 I want that!
The Jedi Master Me-262 was in squadron service (if only a couple of Geschwaders) longer than the Snipe. IMO, if 4 is all we get, I am hard pressed to think of a better for (unless it was a substitute of the Albatross for the Roland). the 1916 planeset has huge holes, and atm no 2-seater that was actually in service on the campaign start date, so the these early war birds are very welcome additions. That said, if we get a Snipe in there too, that would be even better.

I found the quote about the snipe by Jason over on the RoF forums. Posted on: Fri Mar 18, 2011 7:21 pm We've already stated we are making the Brisfit and the Spad VII followed by the RE.8 and the Halb CL.II and the possibly the Snipe.

The footprint of some of our missing types (BE2, Albatros C, LVG C.V, Farman F40 - the list goes on) compared to some of the late war types is like an elephant to an ant. The Snipe and SSWs might make for fun on a late war dogfight server, and there's nothing wrong with that, but if you want to recreate history there is so much more bang for the buck in the FE2b and the Strutter ... and IMHO even the Halb D.II.
Well said (my emphasis). And my sentiments exactly.

More early planes would be welcomed. I'm shocked that we still don't have the Morane Bullet. Yes, the sad fact is that the Morane N had less than 50 examples produced and relatively poor performance. There are a number of other better early-war fighters for the French side.

It's almost been two years from possibly having the Snipe.
I could possibly wear pants tomorrow. Hey, lets tone down some of the sniping (yeah, pun intended). If they get to some of these planes, fine but they have limited staff and they have to devote time to planes that they think are not only significant to the period but also ones that people will want to buy. Someone has to be paid for the time it takes to create these aircraft. It isn't like they haven't released any aircraft.

I recognize the "possible" tag for the snipe as nebulous at worst and *maybe* at best. Just trying to point out that the Snipe has been in the works (at least in the plans of the works) for a couple of years now.

I'm not saying I want it, but late-war hot rods are always popular.
