Just wondering. Netflix has it available as a streaming movie and I think I will check it out.

Really bad. But depends on what you expect on a movie.

This is a B movie parody. So for me, it was bad... in a good way.

Starts out well enough but never really gets anywhere, even knowing it was supposed to be a "B" movie it could have been better. The special effects really weren't that bad, a little better script and it would have been pretty funny.

Made the mistake of pre-purchasing the Blu-ray from them after watching it on Itunes.
What a mistake, this movie sucks. Have both the Itunes version and the BD. You want it?
Its yours.

My wife and I watched it. She speaks German and said some of the jokes just don't really translate to English well. I'll take her word for it...

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. Couldn't even stomach half of it.

I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

It's pretty bad. I bought it on blu-ray before seeing it, unfortunately. It's worth seeing for the battle scenes, and it's clearly done tongue in cheek, but it's not a good movie.
Kind of like Star Wreck, but it's not remotely as bad as that one. Star Wreck had THE best space battles of any movie I've seen though, oddly enough, and Iron Sky comes close. What a strange genre, horrible crappy movies with amazing space battles. LOL
Do yourself a favor and just look up these two movies on youtube or something for just the space battles. Whenever they open their mouths, they just detract from it.

That movie is stupid. To me it wasn't even remotely close to funny. Stupid plot, stupid jokes, stupid from start to finish. Too bad they didn't hire someone better to write it cause it obviously had potential.

It could have been better, but most jokes really do not translate well into english, it is a thorough slaughter on political correctness and the way the US sees the world (or europeans think the US sees the world), take my word for it. I guess that is why a) some do not like it and b) it is probably not translated correct to not pee off the US too much. The opening scene with the Palin party advertising is gold imho ..
You got to see it in the klingon original winkngrin

In actuality that's an irrelevant consideration since this film was never even released in theatres in the US and it is a low budget independent film. In other words, you don't have to worry about offending people when the movie will most likely only be seen by less than 1% of that population.

Special effects were good but that't the only thing that makes it tolerable to attempt to sit through. I was hoping for some sort of realisticish historical science fiction of what if this happened kind of thing. Its just silly and synical.

I have a copy I'll give you if you want.

Yeah I think a lot of people went into it for a semi-historical, science-fiction what-if scenario. That's not what the movie is at all.

I thought the premise was interesting. If it had at least been on par with ID4 or even Starship Troopers it would have been worth the watch. It was not. I turned it off after 15-20 minutes.

I thought it was funny, though not amazingly so. Many jokes fell flat, but there were some that I quite liked. Most of the funny ones were the ones that were less obvious, the details hidden through the movie.
