Yes there are some very advanced features in DBW / HSFX which you can use in modern scenarios

-air to air and air to ground missiles
-SAMs like SA-2 or Nike
-Carriers with missile defences
-ground troops which fire at aircraft
-advanced mission building features like forward air controller, dynamic weather, triggers (Command and control mod)

What Cat said. Do you have helos doing VTOL?

Amazing stuff anyway. F-100 would be lots of fun to fly I bet.

The F-100 was released in june 2012.

The reason I'm posting this stuff now is that the Huey and rocket armed Cobra wasnt available until a few weeks ago.

I remember the Vietnam missions in Janes USAF where you flew an F-105 and hit smoke markers.

That game had one incredible(!) feature in the ME: player selectable canned speach that reacted to triggers.

Why oh why has that not been duplicated? It was a great feature.

Question everything!

No problem, you can have that kind of radio traffic in IL-2 too:

this is all whats there:

Quote:
This was originally posted by Polaski for Wings Over Vietnam at CombatAce. All credit goes to him.

It's 20 minutes of actual vietnam-era radio chatter, everything from forward observers calling in mortars to in-flight emergencies. I've made it compatible with the Il-2 radio beacons - just drop the files into one of the IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\samples\Music\Radio folders to use it in-game. Remember, you have to realistic navigation set to 'on' and keys assigned to change beacons. Also make sure in-flight music is switched on.
