Robert Duvall has been really great in everything I've seen him in. Even when the film itself isn't so good, he always excels.

If you like Duvall Panzer you might want to check out 'Tomorrow'. It's in black and white and he does a lovely accent in it. The sort of film that may slip under most people's radar. He says it's one of his favourite films.
I liked Open Range too. Any of the Clint Eastwood westerns are top-notch, imo.

If you like Duval in OR, consider watching the Lonesome Dove series.
Got it on BluRay
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

This movie, along with "Outlaw Josey Wales," and "High Plains Drifter," are ones that I stop at and watch and it doesn't matter how many times I've seen 'em; can't give a better recommendation than that*
* On the flip side, I also have a fondness for "The Car," "Duel," "The Fifth Element," and "Christine," as movies I treat in a similar fashion, so take my recommendations with a big grain of salt.

I think "Duel" was a simple but effective suspense thriller.
Regarding "The Car", I think there was also one called "The Hearse" too
It's a Game.

One of my favorite westerns is still Unforgiven by and with Clint Eastwood.

That's right. I've killed women and children. I've killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you did to Ned.
