After enjoying
Mailman's recent thread , I thought I would sift through the 2000+ photo's I had on my iPhone and share a few.
This was taken by a passenger riding in the jumpseat of the Challenger. I was in the left seat for this landing at Austin-Bergstrom airport.
Looking across the GA ramp at KSFO.
Crossing the Andes..
Volcano Popocatpetl located South East of Mexico City.
Looking through a lower cloud layer at the sunset. Kind of neat with the contrails of preceding aircraft.
Not a flying pic, but with an aviation theme. In November I was fortunate enough to be on a trip to New Zealand. While there I, along with the rest of the crew, visited the Mosquito at Ardmore (just outside Auckland).
Bimini Island, just off the East Coast of Florida
Rolling down the runway at Anguilla Intl Airport in a Cape Air Cessna 402. I was headed home for Thanksgiving after flying in the day before. You can see the Global Express parked off on the left.
Somewhere over the Caribbean:
Cumulonimbus over the Caribbean.
The next two are of a mountain just East of Los Angeles.
Mountains shrouded with mist, close to Lima, Peru.
Interesting terrain just to the West of Rio De Janeiro.
Past and Present.. King Air B200 and the Global. Both 'Favorite' types.
Looking through the HUD on the Global Express XRS.
The Global parked at Heber City airport, close to Salt Lake City.
Dawn at Anguilla Intl Airport.
It's a rough job, but someone has to do it
Pressing the 'LAND' button
Me and the fleet (Global and Challenger)
Much nicer photo of the fleet, without me in the way
The Global is a very photogenic airplane.
The Global being pushed out of the hangar at sunrise.
The Global Express sim at Flight Safety International in Wilmington Delaware. The graphics are not bad, but not to the standard we see in modern PC sims. The cockpit it pretty high fidelity though
.
Chicago. It still makes my blood boil when I see what they did to Meigs Field.
Land's End, England.
Flying over the Alps
Sunrise, Geneva Intl Airport.
Sharing the friendly skies..
Sea Ice as we approach Newfoundland.
Some guy holding the fort up front. Must be an empty leg as I am dressed casual
.
I guess that all illustrates why I haven't posted any astronomy images this past 12 months.
