Instant mission, that's all I do.
Right from the get go.
Pretty sure I have set the axes, etc, but ???
I know millions of people have everything squared away with this sim, but I just don't know what I am doing wrong.
Win7 and X52.

I fiddled in the responses tab, as suggested, and have it sorted, for now. Pitch was mapped to both the mouse and the joystick. I was trying to fly both the Dh.2 and an Albatross, same thing. But I just did a quick mission with the Spad, and I crashed it very nicely, but not by spinning! Thanks, guys!

Again, thanks for the suggestions.
Guess I should read the manual re: the key/control mapping.
I hate that part of any flightsim. Just lazy, I guess.

Also, never have a steering wheel and joystick connected at the same time! The Jedi Master I wasn't aware of that. I haven't experienced any problems thus far, but I'll disconnect the wheel just to be safe. Thanks!

RoF generally seems to handle multiple controllers quite well - at least as far as recognising that they aren't the same device. It can get confused sometimes if you unplug them, and then reconnect in a different order, but that is a problem with the Windows API - a crappy design that M$ have made no real effort to fix.

Just watch this video Jugs. I posted this in the other thread as well. Have you watched it?
Jason I just watched it, better late than never, that's my motto! (I just don't have a lot of time to get on the computer, usually.) Video explains a lot, thanks.

Another tip...the planes are light and the torque and gyro can be strong. When I pull a HARD turn, unlike in a jet, I throttle DOWN. The loss of power isn't major (because you're going to bleed off anyway with only ~200 hp or so, it's not an F-16), but the reduction in the engine's other effects on handling can be the difference between a spin and a successful turn. Think of it like taking your foot off the gas in a turn, even if it doesn't require braking...I know in your line of work that's something you're familiar with. The Jedi Master
