OK first I can't access the FreeFalcon website, it shows a "Database Error" page. Anybody have an idea if these guys are still around?
Now on to BMS, I've tried to register for the BMS forums so many times, it's not funny! I never get an email to finish registration.
So I can't login to their downloads section or the forums themselves, anybody had a similar problem?
I love their respective Falcon flightsims and would like to ask question about the sims and also say thanks to these guys for expanding on the "old" Falcon 4.0
Both teams did an outstanding job, especially the FreeFalcon gang with their manuals. It shows the put a lot of time and effort into the pdfs.

I have had problems with BMS before and am on my 3rd login now. I can be using it no problems and then one time I'm logged out, so log in and tells me the password or email is incorrect. Click on send password reminder and it tells me the email is not on their system!

Third time lucky I hope!

rakall, one thing to check would be to see if their activation email is getting caught by a spam filter - that happened to me at first.

Me too. BTW, you can get most if not all of the BMS downloads at veterans gaming, no reg issues and it remembers just fine.

With reference to the original post, any news from FreeFalcon? Temporary DB problems or have they quit running the site?

Never had any BMS reg issues.

Looks like FreeFalcon is no more:

Since I still can't get in at the BMS forums, at least I know why nobody is responding from
the FreeFalcon team. Sad to see them go frown

I'm a little conflicted. While I very much appreciate all the work that went into Free Falcon and am sorry to see them shutdown, pulling the website offline without warning is very uncool. There was a lot of other information there besides Free Falcon.

HI @ALL

Its true. The old FreeFalcon you all know from the past Years its no more. But some of the Project moved on
now its called The FreeFalcon OpenSource Project. In the first Time of History Falcon is really OpenSource (in terms
of the Definition - the Source is open and we working open and transparently). Any one can see what we are doing,
there is no blackboxed code anymore.

But:
Right now we do not redistribute Content. We focusing on developing the Engine Code.

If you interested in the FreeFalconOSC Project, take a look at our Forum or follow us at Twitter

Since this was never brought up. You can use web archive to access FreeFalcon's site and download links. The file that is available on the internet is "FF6.7z", but if you use web archive, the final version is "FF6D.7z".

To Peter:

How can you claim the FreeFalcon code as being open source? I’m not a programmer, but it appears to me that it contains a lot of contributions of developers who haven’t given their consent to use it outside the original FreeFalcon. Or are you planning to rewrite every line of code before releasing anything?

How (s)low can you go

Hi,
Returning (or at least trying to) to Falcon, but cannot register on BMS forums to download files, is there a mirror anywhere?

I get this (continuously) when trying to register:
"Registration denied, this forum runs an active policy of not allowing spammers. Please contact us via the "Contact Us" page link if you believe this is in error"

Edit: Disregard. I finally got registered using something other than a gmail address.
