Are their any currently existing mods/packs that increase the variety of US freight car liveries on existing routes/scenarios? I'm a bit tired of the mono-culture of UP cars on the UP routes, Pennsylvania brown on the horse shoe curve, and the like. The only route I know of that doesn't fall victim to this is the Portland Terminal route, and it is wonderful seeing a variety of color schemes on the rolling stock.
If there are no mods or packs that help with this, is there a way I can edit the existing scenarios to mix in some of the different rolling stock from the various routes I have to help combat this?

In my switching type scenarios I've been building, I have opened up some of the other addon DLC to use their rolling stock. Donner Pass has Southern Pacific locomotives, but just a few different rolling stock color variations.

I'll be interested in any answers here, myself.

I would really recommend using some of the cars from Portland Terminal myself. Their mostly from North Eastern routs, but these cars end up everywhere.

Generally speaking, all rolling stock can be replaced.

I recommend getting RWtools (it's free for a limited time), you can easily replace rolling stock with it in the scenarios.

Isn't there a website concentrating on US stuff, like rail-sim.de for us Germans? There you should get a lot freeware stuff or repaints.

The newest North American route, Montana's Marias Pass, has some newer freight cars including some nice lumber wagons. Picked this one up today as its probably closest to railroading near where I live in southern Alberta ^.^ First impressions are that its very well done on the first go-round (unlike Donner Pass which has since been repaired)
