S-300 missile
A cable written by the U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Ralph Frank in November 2003 reveals the American interest in obtaining the S-300 surface-to-air missile system from Croatia. The Croatian government acquired the system in 1995, before the Operation Storm, but it was incomplete and was never operative. According to other sources, including the court testimony of arms dealer Zvonko Zubak, the system was indeed shipped to the U.S. in 2004.

Be more interested in the version - its been around since about 1979

Whatever version they got their hands is probably at least 20 years behind the curve.

Meanwhile the vodka propelled gentlemen have probably gotten their hands on the technical data for the latest U.S. system counterparts, as usual.

I wonder how far removed that one is from the super insta-death version everyone is so afraid of?

I bet cash that Uncle Sugar has his hands on an S300-PMU. I saw things in the Army that never made the news and were scary as hell.

Carrying on the tradition of that other Croat that used to let us borrow Russian gear, if only briefly. And quietly.

I wonder if they used it to program Suter and that is why the Israelis were able to take out the Syrian nukes without a single loss?
