In case anyone hasn't tried it yet, some of the ships have flood lamps. Caught me by surprise in an early morning scramble mission.

They seem to be active when the ships are moving and you pursue them. Once the ship comes to a stop I couldn't get them to activate. Graphically very cool, thought I would share a screeny.

For mission builders lots of "nuance" to how the ships behave regarding commands to attack and waypoints. Depending on the circumstance does not appear to be the same every time. When the ships go into a defensive posture they leave the normal waypoints and sail in a circular pattern. I've had some stay put and fire on targets and others sail in circles. Can't exactly figure out what triggers the reaction.

Fly close to the ships and they ring different bell patterns depending on what they are doing. One is sort of a "baooooga" when they start and the other is a San Francisco cable car " Ringy de ring ring, Ringy de ring ring"....when they stop...maybe something when they attack

They are also extremely tough. If you are planning a bombing run to take one out, not like the barges where one well placed bombing run will take them out. It took five or six good runs to take one down. The Subs are much easier.
