I've had four separate listings of buying / selling 30 round 5.56 magazines removed.
I just looked today and this is apparently their "new" policy.
Check it out. Act accordingly. You can certainly boycott if you would like, but you do have to understand it from the business perspective. Public scrutiny is quite high on these types of items right now - from a business perspective, it's quite simple. It's the amount of revenue being generated from these types of listings (which is probably a very slim % of eBay's total revenue) vs. the impacts of the negative PR of having them listed for sale on your site (or having it reported down the road that some mass shooter acquired gear off of eBay). I'm completely leaving the principles of the situation out of it - I'm just saying that, strictly from a business perspective, it's probably a pretty sensible move on eBay's part. The # of people who will be upset at the new policy & the amount of money lost is likely quite trivial compared to the potential risks.

Use Gunbroker, Armslist, Gunsamerica or Gunauction instead.

nhill40, I own a business and I think they're probably wrong on that if that is their judgment. You will note they still carry plenty of things a wide array of folks could find objectionable. In any event, I'm not making this political here, as I agree certainly that it is their business and their choice, obviously.
Colt, oh, yeah, gunbroker is my preference. Used it before and still do so. Prices are craaazy right now but still better there than eBay. That is why I was looking to sell on eBay. But I will no longer use eBay for selling anything from my old Eastern Airlines stuff to the dog's old blanket!!!

Check it out. Act accordingly. P4 mags for an AR15? I'm looking for some at a good price for when I deploy. They make us buy our own and they went from $25 to like $65.

Timothy, they're bad price. When are you deploying? I'll send the PM to you I sent to Magnum. If it helps, I'll start collecting some for you and just give them to you but it will take a bit. Check PM brother!

Really? There are gun parts listed all over there...even highlighted. Seems like if that has been policy, they're very selective, and very recent, in enforcement because I've sold them there.....

Probably somebody trolling on eBay and complaining, they have nothing better to do. It's quite sad.

Political correctness is going to be the undoing of us all.
My opinion of E-bay just dropped several notches. Political correctness, hell, it's called a huge legal risk. I don't understand what the problems is- as been said, ammunition and explosives (among other things have long been banned for sale on eBay, I think porn and alcohol is also another for everyday people). This really should make sense to anyone who can imagine what kind of liability that would expose yourself to. Just imagine if that boy opened up on that school with ammunition or firearms he purchased on eBay what would happen. Then there's the multi-jurisdictional issues that eBay might face. You'd have law enforcement investigating the transaction trails, lawmakers outing them in public, and civil lawsuits flying everywhere. As someone else said, on the balance of it, it's such small beans in the overall scheme that it's not worth eBay the trouble. A few people complaining about it really doesn't amount to its overall business scheme.
No one gets out of here alive.

Do they have to be licensed or pre-approved gun dealers? That would be an odd lapse in policy if not, but I presume eBay knows what they're doing.
