I sorely regret buying the Walking Dead. (I simply haven't had time to play it!)

Cliffs of Dover... uninspiring retread of il2 Take on helicopters... Unplayable. Neat concept but completely overwhelms a PC making an already difficult fm even worse to handle. I don't want to turn down Gfx to make a game playable. Ghost recon future soldier... Multiplayer porked. Period. Never got it to connect and the work arounds offered by Ubi were a joke. Counter strike global offensive... Wtf was I thinking Guild wars 2... Tired of trying to earn the good citizen of kryta award Diablo III... Just how many times can you actually expect people to play a game through in a vain hope of farming enough gold and drops to buy any meaningful and helpful items for inferno mode? Combined arms... Another neat idea when you think about it but then you see it in the flesh. Everything looks good from altitude but when you are slogging through it at ground level. Fail.

-CLoD. Purchased in 2011, but I'm still regretting it. I disagree that it's a 'retread' of the first Il-2. That title was (is?) fantastic. CloD WISHES it could retread it...
-More stuff for Rise of Flight. Don't get me wrong; It's a fantastic sim, and a wonderful way to experience WWI flight. It's just kites aren't my thing, and I keep forgetting that... (psyched for the next IL-2 entrant coming to the platform though!)
-Carrier Command. I need to stop giving BI my money. They haven't spent enough time fixing stupid AI to earn it...
-MS Flight: Didn't buy any DLC, but I want my download bandwidth back. Plus, I've let wind that lasted longer than this title.
-Iron Front: I blame you people and your pretty screen shots! This is where Arma II's stupid AI go to re-enact WWII. Also, why do the trees do weird things when I walk near them?
Bonus section: Titles I'm glad I avoided
-Strike Fighters NA: Great idea, but half way through fixing a severely buggy product TK decided to go play with tablets.
-MS Flight DLC. See above comment about wind breaking.
DCS: CA. I already have a tank simulator; it's called DCS: A-10C. (on a serious note though, I'm glad they're expanding the series like this. Not my thing, but innovation can't hurt the platform)

I was put-off by the graphic violence and extreme use of f-bombs (seriously, they come at you every few seconds) and the graphic sex scene at the end (depending on which ending you choose).
It felt to me that the developers were more interested in seeing how much they could get away with rather than tell the story, so for me it broke the fourth wall and took me out of the game.
I'm more of a stealth guy, rather than a hack & slasher so this game was just too over-the-top for my taste.
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." -- Ephesians 6: 12-13 KJV

I don't know that I've regretted buying any games in 2012 per se. Some I bought in 2011 but didn't really do much with until 2012.
In 2012 I'm STILL regretting buying in 2011: CloD, which is finally playable, but at the same time is missing standard Il2:46 features that made it less desirable to play. No working coop? Two lackluster SP campaigns and a handful of SP missions? For those of us who do NOT play dogfights online but used every other aspect of Il-2:46, CloD is a massive disappointment even "fixed."
RO2 (for the same reasons--released too early, fixed up, but still offers less than the first game did!)
I suppose I should've waited on buying DCS: Combined Arms, since as mentioned here in beta it's pretty rough. Still, I've done a few things with it where I see the potential, so I'm confident it will eventually get where I want it to be.
Homefront--got on a Steam sale, and I'm glad as the 4 hours it took me to finish weren't that great. Perhaps if I see the Red Dawn remake I'll see the film version of this underwhelming title.
Duke Nukem Forever--again a great sale, but the game felt stale. For old school FPS gaming, Serious Sam 3 was far better.
Men of War: Vietnam--I was hoping for MoW: Assault Squad in Vietnam setting...that's not what it was.
In the too-soon-to-tell category, I bought Far Cry 3 and Dishonored last month on sale but I've yet to try them. I like Deus Ex and Thief, hope I'll like Dishonored. Also liked both the previous Far Cry titles. Currently, I'm enjoying Skyrim quite a bit. Not quite as much as Fallout 3 and F: New Vegas perhaps (which I discovered to my surprise Skyrim = Fallout + LOTR - Tolkien-specific aspects) since I'm bigger SF than fantasy fan, but it's till quite enjoyable and I bought the 2 addons on sale last month to go along with it.

Diablo 3 -_- Guild Wars 2 <----- WHY, not an MMO player and for listening to my no taste in games friends i bought it...Diablo 3 is a one time beat game not worth the replay or value Diablo 2 has a way better replay than D3... Video games these days are not done the way they were done in the 90s and early 2000s.....I can keep ranting but, games are not what they used to be..... Some one needs to make a Full SIM like FSX..... Xplane 10 is not close as FSX

First is Lego Lord of the Rings for the PS3. The game is absolutely unplayable in the free game/open world mode due to constant freezes. I hope that the developers will make a patch available soon and fix this. But of course I could've waited and bought the game later and depending on how long it takes to fix this game maybe even at a better price.
The second one is Hitman Absolution. I was very sceptical about this game right from the beginning when I first heard about a new Hitman game. I was still sceptical when the game hit the stores and first reviews came in. But somehow I decided to plunge in at one point and bought the Professional Edition. I haven't played much and don't have any intention whatsoever to continue playing this game other than finishing it just for the sake of it; just because I bought it and paid money for it.
At first, I thought the game isn't that bad at all. But after only a hand full of level that are broken by loads of cut-scenes that take away the power from the player and portrait an amateurish 47 instead of a cunning and dangerous Hitman; and after having to continuously hide and flee as a result, I've given up on this game. I also gave up due to the broken disguise system. The latter has meanwhile been fixed. But still, I disliked the story right from the beginning, right from the first mission and, again, have no motivation to pick this game up again.
So yeah, I shouldn't have bought this game. I wouldn't even pick this game up again on sales.

Cliffs of Dover!
And Chivalry: Medieval Warfare <- this game is soo freaking dumb and wears off after not even half an hour of gameplay.
