If your OS is WINDOWS XP then escort and form on actions will work only if player take off form carrier. If ther is no carrier then they just ram your plane.

Ahh, no wonder why people reported that bug when they flew my campaign based on the iranian one in F-15 (fixed since). But the strange thing, it never happened to me and I got XP.

All this time, I haven't figured that out.

I encountered that again just recently. And in fact, it was Finnish F-18A's at Rovaniemi that I was try to get to form up.

i think that there is no fix for that at this moment (so just have to take off from carrier now)

If some of the missions feel too easy this may be the reason -> alert intercept aircraft will not take off.

On my system alert intercept will work ONLY if i put one waypoint to alert plane(s) and insert message action. Empty message is just fine.

So i just have to edit and fix these missions.

Major D, I have to agree -- probably this function won't work any longer. And since most people that fly your missions/campaigns are running XP, it is probably not working for them.

So I just scrapped the escort/form-on command for land-based mission. Instead I make them orbit until I get within range, then they just proceed to their next waypoint(s). They are still in visual range, and still involved in the tactical sitation, but you can't give orders to them. Its not good news, but not the end of the world either.
