What I'm curious about is the Cougar throttle extension. Any details on how you accomplished that?
This was extreamly easy no cutting wires, no soldering, and dirt cheap. so I'm not going Dismantle the throttle so you can see the obvious!
Simply remove the arm from throttle hand piece and and cut it in 1/2.
Pay Attention where you cut it!!!!! see all pics below (this is important !!!!!!!)
use channel aluminum, you will have to remove some plastic from each 1/2 of the arm to get the channel fo fit in.
Don't remove it all just enough for channel to fit the way you want...the more you leave the stronger it will be. If you look at the hand piece in the pic below, you can see how I cut in the channel and left plastic for strength.
check length of channel to make sure you dont have it too long or you will have to cut and add wire for length + it gets a bit flimsy... I had to cut mine down twice. It was way to flimsy and alot longer than it realy needed to be. (the wire length is longer than you would think). the channel should fit down in each piece of throttle arm as far as you can without blocking wire holes...
shape aluminum to desired angle. you can make it easy and just leave it straight but the bend made it feel more natural to me
use a second piece of channel on the inside to add strength and cover wires...Obviously drill the channel without the wires through it!
Be careful to not cut wires when putting screws through everything its a tight fit and you may have to split (not cut) the ribbon cable to allow for screw placement.
sorry for the cheesy MS paint pic I dont have Auto Cad
oh I painted it flat black I should have used simi-gloss or regular gloss black... but im cheap and its not very noticable (except in these pics with a flash LOL) kinda looks like white or silver due to flash. I may repaint it before I do the final install it in the pit
