News item on ROF Website: "We should inform you, that "Rise of Flight" Master Server will be offline for maintenance works from 10:00 till 13:00 UTC/GMT in 24 December 2012 (Monday). While it is - you may use OFFLINE game mode for playing the "Rise Of Flight".

I am unable to pull down an update at this time. Patience is a virtue, I guess. Anticipation is making me wait.

Great news flying-hamster, thx! I checked out ROF site and it says "Channel Map & Felixstowe Released. Massive Sale Dec. 24th-30rd!"

I cannot seem to find the (50% off) sales and the Channel Map is showing as "pre-order" & Felixstowe is showing as "new"; am I doing something wrong?

Troll, I feel your pain...:)

RoF's website is blocked at work, but I'm happy to hear there's going to be a sale! Now I can finish stocking up on aircraft and accessories! smile

Well, I was able to update the game and briefly flew the map. I happened to have celtic christmas music playing as I flew over the Cliffs of Dover, circled around a port and a huge city by the ocean. Hundreds of buildings and dense streets. As I continued further west ran into large castle elements guarding the coast.

The maps just feels so much bigger than the current maps, much longer views and rolling hills.

Finally took a slow run along the water edge, green and transparent along the coast transitioning over the swells to deep blue.

5 minutes is all it took, and I knew what I had to do.....

I carefully exited out and turned of the computer.....a wonderful gift on Christmas Eve, but once I start flying this, it could be hours. Will save it for the 26th to keep my marrage and family in tact!

Thanks Jason and 777 for the gift!

Thanks for the brief report. I'm looking forward to the map and the Felixstowe when I get home. I don't have any family for Christmas, so guess what I'll be doing all night and tomorrow? wink

800MB DL, I'm sure most of that is the Channel!

Looking at the pics, the channel map is beautiful. Then again Grinch stole me a Christmas as a year + passed without a single FM revision. And, wit the new project on their back it seams that well never see them...

Just gave it a spin. Few minutes, couple quick missions...

Impressive and awesome!
Just on land it stutter a bit on my aging system...
