As SweetFX continues to get new versions (its now v1.3), how does one know what version shader are used in FlightFX, and how to update them?

- SweetFX works only when Post processing is enabled in Rise of Flight launcher. Maybe that's the issue? I do believe you've diagnosed my issue. I will check it out. TY!!!!!!!

@TychosElk - about Silent Hunter - Perhaps you have to Override the data folder (second button on the right) - the symptom you describe (crash) means that SweetFX injection works, but afterwards it can not read the d3d9.fx, dxgi.fx, SweetFX_Preset.txt and the SweetFX shaders folder - because the main program SH changes the current path etc. I *guess* you will have to find which is the so-called 'data' folder - the SH folder which the SH executable sets as current when it starts loading its game data.
Short wording: play with the Override folder path, keeping it inside SH installation path. Bingo! A quick look at where SH4 keeps stuff (.dll's etc) suggested that the root folder, where sh4.exe is located, would be the best bet for the 'data folder' setting. Tried it, and it works. I'll have to test it a bit more, and assuming I find no snags, I'll let the unwashed submariners know at SubSim and the Ubi forums. It would probably be worth starting a new 'general sims' SweetFX/FlightFX thread somewhere on SimHQ too, so we can centralise reports on what works, and any necessary tweaks for each sim.

Yes, information about SweetFX interaction with different games seems to be very sparse - unless of course this is exactly because people playing only one game don't care too much about other people playing other games

You can try to isolate the problem somehow: 1. try directly with SweetFX (without FlightFX) and see if that works and/or 2. try FlightFX with another SweetFX supported game and see if that works Also you can map the Shaders ON/OFF to some simple key and hit that during the game to enable/disable SweetFX effects. Splitscreen option enabled with slider to 1 (vertical 50/50) also helps to see if effects work or not.
